Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Lens | Wide-Angle Prime for APS-C EOS DSLRs | 38mm Equivalent | STM Autofocus - New

Compact Wide-Angle Prime for Canon APS-C Cameras

The Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM delivers a 38mm equivalent field of view on APS-C sensor cameras, making it ideal for travel, street, and everyday photography. As the slimmest and lightest lens in the entire EF-S series at just 22.8mm thick and 125g, it adds minimal bulk to your camera body while providing bright f/2.8 performance.

Superior Optical Performance

Built with 6 elements in 5 groups including one aspherical element, this lens delivers sharp images from center to corners. Optimized lens coatings reduce ghosting and flare, while the 7-blade circular aperture creates beautiful, soft background blur with pleasing bokeh characteristics.

Smooth, Silent STM Autofocus

The STM (Stepping Motor) autofocus system enables silent and smooth focus tracking during video recording on EOS cameras with Movie Servo AF. A micro-stepping drive keeps aperture changes quiet, making this lens excellent for movie shooting. Full-time manual focus override is available in One Shot AF mode.

Close-Focus Capability

With a minimum focusing distance of just 0.16 meters (0.52 feet) and maximum magnification of 0.27x, you can get remarkably close to your subjects for detailed shots and creative compositions.
