Product Description
World's Lightest F2.8 24-70mm Zoom
The Sony FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II (SEL2470GM2) delivers G Master resolution and exquisite bokeh in the world's lightest full-frame F2.8 constant aperture standard zoom lens. Weighing just 695g (24.6 oz), it's over 20% lighter and 16mm shorter than its predecessor, with approximately 18% less overall volume for exceptional mobility.
Outstanding Optical Performance
Two high-precision XA (extreme aspherical) elements, two ED glass elements, two Super ED glass elements, and a floating focus mechanism work together to control aberration throughout the zoom range. This optical design delivers excellent contrast at high spatial frequencies, ensuring superb resolution even at the wide-open F2.8 aperture.
Next-Generation Autofocus System
Four XD (extreme dynamic) Linear Motors power fast, precise, and quiet autofocus with excellent tracking capabilities. Shoot at up to 30 frames per second or capture 4K 120p video with compatible Sony Alpha camera bodies. A new aperture unit enables full AF tracking performance even with the aperture stopped down.
Optimized for Video Production
Advanced lens design reduces focus breathing, focus shift, and axial shift when zooming, minimizing image and angle of view changes for smooth cinematic footage. The XD Linear Motors and new aperture unit ensure quiet, low-vibration operation ideal for professional video work.
